So you have got a request on Facebook. One of your friends has invited you to play Candy Crush Saga. Although you have felt irritated at the invitation, yet clicked just to check what is the hype all about. And now, you are totally addicted. Levels after levels you cross, and even have bought few power ups. A day feels incomplete without hearing those words – “Delicious”, “Sweet”, “Tasty” and more. You are totally hooked to the game, so much so that you check out the levels your online friends have reached. You feel a sense of pride, when you are a level up than your friend. You have even downloaded the app on your smartphone. Yes, that is the level of commitment you have. Although a virtual game, it feels as if it is an important part of your life.

To Mom, with Love

The house looks a mess. Since last night, the search was on. Every pillow has been ransacked; every book racks upturned and the chairs and tables lie around like a war victim. This entire ruckus is because of the fact, that a paper cannot be found. Yes, just a little paper, where maybe some stupid things may have been scribbled, but never kept properly. Why? Because we simple do not think that somebody will care for us and arrange our things. Yes, moms do that. We may shout at her for touching our things and making it impossible for us to find them at the right time. But, after all she does it, for our own good. Likewise, whole day, something or the other, she is, selflessly, serving us. But, in most times, we fail to see the normal chores, the love behind all the sacrifices and the pain.

This mother’s day, why not thank her for tolerating us, just the way we are. I bet, if it has been others, we may have been officially disowned and disgraced. But mothers are mothers, and whatever we…
